What Are Hardwood Flooring Prices Like?

Hardwood flooring prices break down in the two following ways:

First: We will look into the hardwood floors.

The price per sqft varies anywhere from $1-$15. You obviously get what you pay for. If you are looking to invest in a quality product but not overpay, then you can expect to pay somewhere in the 4-6 dollar range per sqft.

Also factor in adhesive and any mouldings you may need. These prices vary depending on product and sub floor condition.

Second: Hardwood flooring prices are based on your labor costs. Almost all hardwood flooring installers will charge by the sqft. This cost also varies upon who you find to do your installation. An experienced licensed contractor will almost certainly charge you more than your local handyman or unlicensed “installer”. Floor preparation (such as tile or carpet removal), or any sub floor issues that have to be addressed will add to my labor costs.
